"In The Window launched back in January 2023 during my time working at independent record shop - The Vinyl Whistle in Headingley. I met so many passionate and interesting music collectors, DJs, and artists while working there. It felt necessary to spread the word about the amazing people in the area who share a love for music, events, and supporting the local scene. Utilising the access I had to the shop, In The Window began with a series of weekly recordings on a Sunday daytime during my shift.

It grew, with a great following and the loveliest support from friends. Without them, In The Window wouldn’t be what it is today - big big shout out to the Lick Quid Gold crew, Adam, and The Vinyl Whistle team for the love and support!"

OUR ARTISTS

"I am mostly inspired by the DIY queer party scene and community oriented collectives. Those who put energy into supporting and educating their communities and prioritise marginalised people, as well as enjoying the music + partying."
blu.dream
"I had minimal musical education when I was younger, so it took moving to Leeds for uni at 18 to really spark my interest. I spent most of my first year at uni going to events on my own around the city and seeing world-class DJs blow the roof off."

Cosmikuro
"Being a Leeds resident, Cosmic Slop parties have been a major influence and changed how I think about genre and approaches to fusing ideas. The community there has been super supportive and given me opportunities to play in the space..."
